Still writing . . . until my fingers bleed . . . and now a new face . . .

I've been drinking pot after pot of coffee, and I still don't have any energy lately. So right now I'm drinking a Keva Juice with some sort of miracle energizer additive in the hopes that I can speed write today. NaNoWriMo is kicking my butt. Per the status on the site, if I keep writing at this rate, I won't finish until December 4th. Oy! Just Oy! So I'm gearing up to whoop NaNo's ass. I will make my goal today, which is 2,000 words, in spite of all the distractions. I'm just putting up a brief post to say, for those of you struggling with your writing, take a break, grab a cup o' joe, and join me in the suffering. This too will pass, be it at the end of a sentence, at the end of a page, or at the end of the month,. We will prevail!

On another note, I'm trying out a new template for my blog. One that is simpler and won't take forever to upload. Let me know if you like the new one or if you liked the older one better. I kinda like the older one, but I'd hate to have it be too slow.

Great. Well, if you're participating in NaNo, why the heck are you here reading this? Get to writing!

That's it. Slurp!

  2. Brenda--

Sorry for the deleted one, I spelled your name wrong. AGH!

Don't take any attitude from NaNo!

    2K is cake.

I'm reading this to avoid NaNo and my husbands paper he wants me to edit for him.

This page loads faster but I like the olde one better.

Thanks for commenting the other day.

  3. I like this style better but I'm partial to the old one because its what I'm used to seeing.

But this one reads much easier for me.

  4. Brenda,

I liked the older one. Don't worry. Good things are worth worth the wait!

  5. Hey Brenda,

I love the new look! Sooooo much faster, too, and I really appreciate that.

I'm still clomping along in NaNo, too. You can do it! :-)

  6. I love the new look--the brown is a nice shade, and it is fast. :)

  7. It is simple and we will all get used to it. My doctor said to stop writing and blogging. so I have a good reason to ease up on my speed, as per the blogging oh well its an addiction.

  8. I like it. If a blog takes a long time to load, I generally just close it and move on, as I don't have much time to devote to waiting!
And that in spite of not doing Nano..

  11. Keep it up!!! I'm far behind, but I'm going to write my butt of before Thanksgiving to get there =) I'm proud of you, either way, you're writing a book and that's what counts!

  12. Early December is still a great time to finish, impressive even! But I have a feeling you'll make up the slack and finish before. You're just too driven not too. ;-) And I like the new template.

  13. I like this look! It's very calming, easy to read and the color of coffee.

Good luck with your writing goals! You can do it...:)

  14. You can do it! *Cracks whip* *Threatens to withhold BURN ME scenes until you hit your wordcount for the day*

Hehe we're in this together. You can do it. And we'll stop procrastinating together.

I liked the old layout better - but this one does upload SO much quicker (which is nice). I like brown - it makes me feel like I'm swimming in a cup of coffee (which is where I want to be right now).

  17. NaNo is kicking my butt this year... and not in a good way. I'm so behind! Finals and energy drinks are not helping. I have one in my hand right now. But I'm gonna still try. Good luck! Dec 4th is still pretty darn good.

  18. Hi Brenda! Good luck with the nano. Sounds crazy and a bit overwhelming but I can see that you are determined. I like the old layout best but this one is nice too and if it's faster and easier than go with it. Have a great week my friend. I miss you! :)
